Myanmar Gazette ("we," "our," or "us") operates the My Personal Biorhythm application and website at southrule.com/biorhythm.php. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information that you voluntarily provide when creating your profile:

• Name — first name or nickname you choose to use
• Date of birth — used to calculate biorhythm cycles and astrological data
• Birth time (optional) — improves astrological precision
• Birth city (optional) — used to determine geographic coordinates for chart calculations
• Blood type (optional) — used for compatibility readings in the tradition of East Asian wellness practices

We also collect data you enter while using the App:

• Daily log entries — self-reported physical, emotional, intellectual, and luck scores (1–10) and optional personal notes
• Life milestone dates — personal dates you optionally enter
• Compatibility readings — names and dates of birth of people you choose to compare

2. How We Collect Information

All information is entered directly by you. We do not collect information from third-party sources, social networks, or advertising platforms. City geocoding (converting a city name to coordinates) is performed via OpenStreetMap Nominatim, a public service. Only the city name text you type is sent to that service — no other personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the App's features:

• Calculate and display your personal biorhythm cycles
• Generate astrological charts (Chinese Zodiac, Mahabote, Western Synastry)
• Display your daily log history and progress
• Calculate compatibility readings when you request them
• Track your membership level (Silver / Gold / Platinum) based on engagement points

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secured MySQL database on a server located in the United States. We implement the following security measures:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Passwords are not used — authentication is by name and date of birth
• Database access is restricted to application credentials with limited permissions
• Session cookies are marked HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Strict
• All API endpoints are protected by CSRF tokens

No security method is 100% guaranteed. We encourage you not to enter highly sensitive information in notes fields.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at app@southrule.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — city geocoding (city name text only; their privacy policy)
• jsDelivr CDN — serves Bootstrap and Chart.js libraries (no personal data sent)

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or tracking services.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — update your birth time, city, or blood type at any time via the Profile tab
• Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all data
• Portability — request your daily log history in a readable format

9. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact app@southrule.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
